Burn Studios: Benga DJs for Burn in Catania

Coming from Croydon, South London, Benga is widely considered to be one of the major pioneers behind the Dubstep scene, fusing the South London Dub sound with East London Grime back in the early part of the 2000s.

Benga released his debut album, Newstep, in 2006 and has since followed it with a whole pile of new releases, EPs and collaborations, as well as creating his own record label, Benga Beats. 2 years ago he released the highly acclaimed Diary Of An Afro Warrior. He's also well-known for his part in the Dubstep supergroup Magnetic Man, in which he works alongside other Dubstep pioneers Skream and fellow Croydon-ite Artwork.

It's no wonder that we were so very pleased and excited to present Benga's DJ set at Mercati Generali in Catania, Sicily last July 10!
