Burn Studios ambassador Plastikman - aka innovator in electronic dance music, Richie Hawtin - invites online music creators to remix his work like never before.

We are extremely excited to announce that the latest in a series of Burn Studios remix competitions will be in collaboration with minimal tech legend Richie Hawtin.

Hawtin is offering up a personal piece of production, created under his Plastikman moniker, to be re-worked by aspiring sound production artists all over the world. The track up for remix is 'Ask Yourself', an ambient and minimal release that appeared on his fifth studio album, 'Closer', and features in his new Plastikman 2010 live show.

In association with leading online electronic music magazine Resident Advisor remixers around the globe can download the remix parts below or at residentadvisor.net/burnstudiosremix including bassline, strings, midi and vocals.

The winning remix, as chosen by Hawtin, will appear as a digital release on the highly anticipated 'Plastikman Arkives' - a comprehensive, made-to-order box set that pulls together all 17 years of the Plastikman story so far, released on Hawtin's iconic M-nus label.

Burn Studios continues its partnership with audio/visual technology leader AVID - the company behind the M-Audio and Pro Tools music technology - to offer the winner an exclusive AVID Voucher worth €2,500. Online audio sharing platform SoundCloud is also on board, presenting the winner with an annual SoundCloud Pro+ account worth €250.

Richie Hawtin will also be selecting five Runners Up who will each receive an M-Audio Torq MixLab DJ kit, a Pro Tools Recording Studio package and a SoundCloud Lite account.
